Camp Lookout is designed for nature lovers entering first to fifth grade. Take on a new role each week and experience the natural world through exciting and enjoyable outdoor activities. Register for just one week or join us for all three! Registration is limited to 30 campers per session.
Camp Lookout consists of three weekly sessions, running from June 9 to June 27, 2025 at Selby Gardens’ Downtown Sarasota campus.
Camp hours: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Drop-off begins at 8:30 a.m., pick-up by 3:15 p.m.
Weekly Camp Tuition: $230 for Selby Gardens members, $250 for non-members

Session 1: Nature by Design
Branch out and explore how nature inspires cool inventions and creative solutions! This week, we’ll take on exciting challenges that use science, art, and engineering to leaf a positive impact on our environment. Campers will work together to plan, design, and build creations inspired by nature’s own innovations. STEM-ulate your imagination and creativity and join us for a week of nature-based ingenui-tree!
Session 2: Florida Adventures
Hike into the wonders of Florida’s unique ecosystems! From the beaches and bayous to wildlife watching, campers will explore our state’s natural beauty through fun, hands-on activities. They’ll embark on exciting adventures in the gardens, explore Florida’s diverse habitats, and create lasting memories while connecting with nature. Get movin’ and mangroovin’ during this week of outdoor discovery and fun under the Florida sun!
Session 3: Wonders of Water
Dive into the wonders of the watery world to explore the science of Sarasota Bay and beyond! This week, campers will explore the importance of water in our ecosystem, discover how the plants and animals of Sarasota Bay thrive, and learn how we can protect and enjoy this precious resource. From hands-on experiments to dip-net discoveries, campers will gain a deeper appreciation for water and its vital role in our world. Get ready to be bayfront biologists and seaside scientists!
