This hands-on workshop will satisfy both plant and art lovers!  Learn about the science of epiphytes (air plants), Selby Gardens’ specialized plant focus, from expert horticulturists while designing and building a living masterpiece! Participants will receive hands-on artistic plant mounting guidance and can ask questions about epiphyte care and cultivation. Please note: plant mounting techniques require manual dexterity and grip strength.  

• Children aged 12+ with a demonstrated interest in plants welcome. 

• General admission is included in the course fee. We encourage you to stay and enjoy the Gardens after class. 

• All horticultural materials and tools for this workshop are included in the tuition.  

• You will be working with live plants, wire, and hand tools- feel free to bring a favorite pair of gardening gloves if you have them. 

• Please check in at the Welcome Center at 10:15 a.m. for a 10:30 a.m. start time.
