This three-part series offers a deeper dive into the art of botanical watercolor. Designed for students who want to develop their skills over multiple sessions, each class builds on the previous one—guiding you from an initial contour drawing to a completed botanical painting.
Each series focuses on a different seasonal plant subject, making it ideal for returning students or anyone interested in exploring a variety of botanical forms.
In this workshop, you will:
• Learn foundational and intermediate watercolor techniques with an emphasis on plant structure, accuracy, and expressive detail.
• Receive guidance on contour drawing and composition through provided outlines and tracing methods. This is not a drawing-focused class.
• Build confidence in composition development, color layering, and capturing fine botanical details.
• Enjoy a supportive learning environment suitable for beginners, while returning students will encounter new challenges and growth opportunities.
No prior experience is necessary.
Instructor: Cris Godoy
